“The plot twist is equally as mind-blowing as it is important to today’s attitude on racism.”

“A creative representation of racial tension in the modern day.”

“A borderline dystopian and horror movie that portrays modern day racism in a sick way.”

“A horror, a thriller, and an adventure, all packed into one. The movie depicts the effects of extreme racism and the acting of characters, particularly of Allison Williams, is eerily perfect and beautiful.”

“A deep message engraved in a creatively made horror movie, with the comedic geniusness of Jordan Peele transpiring with the hilarious writing. Never had a horror movie that made me flinch from horror, but also laugh out loud at the comedy.”

“Dark, mysterious , sitting at the edge of my seat… these are all the words I would use to describe this movie. Not only was it a horror movie but also a comedy which is something that you do not see quite that often and makes for a refreshing change. Overall a thrilling, must watch movie.”

“A better view of perception in different racism. Instead of white being disgusted or unhappy with black people. They view the black people as a toys and not as a human.”

“Lonergan portrays grief in such a realistic and poignant way. The story really gives meaning to the quote ‘Be kind to all for everyone is fighting a secret battle.’

“A somber and mellow movie that honestly portrays the stories of the characters, and will leave you feeling hopeless.”

“A slowly developed but intense film that explores human grief and guilt in its most genuine raw form.”

“A harrowingly beautiful film, echoing several real life events and emotions, portrayed perfectly by Casey Affleck, who delivered an extremely poignant and heart-wrenching performance. A movie that is the literal description of an emotional rollercoaster. Beautifully written, and beautifully executed.”

“Easy to watch and entertaining, it shallowly dives into the problematic relationship we have with our electronic devices.”

“Ingrid’s story allows the audience to confront their personal relationship between self-image and social media.”

“A seamlessly executed commentary on the grip social media has on our lives with an ending that leaves you questioning everything.”

“A funny, entertaining movie, with a deeper and sadder meaning below its superficial surface. Matt Spicer has been able to fuse a kind of patheticness and desperation into Ingrid’s character so perfectly that we can’t help but laugh at her, while also sympathising and empathising with her.”

“A fun and entertaining watch. The director manages to make the audience feel uneasy without making the characters do anything unrealistic. The deeper meaning below the storyline really makes one think about today’s superficial society.”

“Shows an unhappy life of fame obsessed person, Ingrid. Relates to the pressures that comes with having a fame in the social media as seen with Taylor. A famous person in the social media that Ingrid was dangerously obsessing over. In the end Taylor is the one faking all the stuff she does, the same way Ingrid did.”

“A movie has never made me so upset. Incredibly bold and utterly heartbreaking, it sheds light on the heart breaking human rights issue of child soldiers and the complicated nature of humanity.”

“The hard life of a child soldier narrated by the young child himself offered a sensitive and deep atmosphere to the film. It was bold, brutal, and dramatic to the fullest. The tragedy in this film is heart wrenching, and was such an eye opener to an issue that needs to be addressed more often.”
